I Havent been able to make it out to the last few rides because my chain is pretty much dead. I ordered a new one but it only comes with the rivet link. I want to do the sprocket and chain change my self to save a few bucks and i've called a few shops to see how much they would charge to just rivet my chain for me. Some have said anywhere from 10 -20 bucks but thats if i do everything first then somehow bring the bike to them which i dont see how i would be able to do with no chain attached to the bike. So i was wondering if anyone knows of someone or has a chain rivet tool i could borrow or rent to attach my chain. If anything i guess i could borrow a car trailer and just trailer my bike to get the rivet done but that seems like a lot to go through to just get a rivet put on. Or if anyone else has any knows of a shop or something i could rent this tool from for an hour to do this that would be great to. I'll be doing that change on the north-side of town this weekend if that matters.
thanks for any suggestions

From what i understand when i was getting my chain they are interchangeable You can order one with a clip on link and just go to your local bike shop and buy just the rivet link and they can attach it. I think when i bought mine it was like 7 or 8 bucks or something for the link.

The are interchangeable, here's one from Amazon D.I.D. 520V O-Ring Chain Rivet Link 520V ZJ
here's one from Motorcycle Superstore DID 520 O-Ring Rivet Connecting Link

I would make sure that the rivet master link that you purchase separately works for the brand of chain that you get (I'm just finicky that way)...smile
