Okay, so I finally took the bike to ESP to have them run a dyno baseline. Here's the results (remember, its a flat twin, not a japanese sport bike):
Max Power: 79.05 hp Max Torque: 69.72 ft/lb Top Speed: Approx 110mph Factory Claim: Max Power (at the crank): 85 hp Max Torque: 72.3 ft/lbs Top Speed: 120 mph All in all, I'm impressed. Its not too far off the factory claims, and its still plenty enough to get me into trouble. Evan was almost worried about how lean the bike runs, and it was even making the power reading jagged, instead of a nice smooth curve. He's looking into the price of a power commander for me and hopefully I can get that set-up to correct the issue. |

Bryce, I can say it all day long. That won't help me pay for the 7k a year they want to insure that damned thing. So, in the words of someone more famous than me "Fuck that noise"

I hear those 1000rr's aren't really comparable to their Japanese counterparts. They sure do look HOT though :)

Here's the results (remember, its a flat twin, not a japanese sport bike): Tracey squeezed every ounce of performance out of that Beemer, especially after the pipe and Power Commander! Power means nothing, if you don't know how to use it. |
