There were some new riders asking about hand signals a few weeks back, I thought this might be useful to someone...the highbeam signal is also the same for cops or radar ahead. Picture may be hard to see or read; right click the picture and save to your picture file then reopen the picture for better viewing.

Ignore the Highbeam one. Most riders use that as a signal that there is a cop ahead.

This is Great! I didn't know anyone made a pamphlet on this... I just thought it was word of mouth among motorcyclists.
When I see a cop, I have always twirled my index finger around in circles... mimicking the movement of a siren. Lol! I will be tapping my hand on top of my helmet from now on. I also tend to point my right foot if I need to get in a right lane very quick.

If I need to change lanes quickly I will use my right or left foot also.
