I actually joined TSB before moving to Tucson in Aug 2009. My wife Debbie and I wanted to hook up with riders in the area. I love riding the twisties and thought this group could show me the best routes.
For Sport riding, I like my Yamaha FZ1 or Buell 1125R. For longer distance sport touring my Yamaha FJR is my favorite. I have been known to take my Dual Purpose DR650 on TSB outings.
I built my first minibike in 1969 and bought my first motorcycle, a Honda CB 360, in 1974. My wife Debbie and I have been riding ever since.
My son Tim, who also rides but lives in CA sent me a link to TSB before we moved to Tucson in Aug 2009.
Because I love the twisties, my favorite places to ride are near mountains. When I lived in Wichita, KS, the Ozark mountains in Arkansas were the closest and I'd get out there a few times a year. At least once a year I tour the Rocky Mountains which were about 8 hours away. In 2008, a buddy and I rode 3100 miles out to CO, NM and the Grand Canyon in AZ before heading to Mexico and back home to Wichita through TX and OK. I used to live in NC and enjoyed riding the Blue Ridge Mountains. Locally, Mt. Lemmon is a favorite.

Hi kids...........
. I wished in one hand and crapped in the other hand. Only the latter one was full enough to pay for the trip. Will be doing Memorial Day Ride, in Phoenix, with my son and grandaughter instead. And that is a great consolation Day.
Hey Mike, I didn't recognize you because you were all covered up! Yep, that was me :-)
Hey Guys, That was a really nice vid you shot from your helmet-cam. I think I was in front of the yellow goldwinger. Hopefully we can do it again soon. I had a good time (even with all the wind) and it was nice riding with a group rather than by myself. Thanks again and looking forward to my next outing with the ALR.
Thanks, Mike and Debbie, that was a Great Video and I am so honored to have been chosen as the Star :) It was fun watching myself ride my way through the Chiricahua National Monuments ... Great Job!
Thanks Mike and Debbie for the Welcome to AZLR, and too for the Awesome Video you did for Mary Lou's Memorial Ride!
