Mt. Lemmon

McDonalds (map)

Selected By: Tyne

This will be the usual ride up Mt Lemmon to the top for cookies or whatnot :) Please as always remember no same lane passes UNLESS the person in front of you has acknowledged you and waived you past and absolutely no passing on the right. Lunch afterwards if people want to go somewhere.

I strongly suggest anyone going up Mt. Lemmon to do the speed limit. I know that it is not very fun to do so but the Sheriff's are out for blood with the sport bikes. I will be avoiding the Mt myself.

I suggest making sure everything on your bike is legal. Palma has made it clear he doesn't want bikes on his mountain so don't give him a reason to pull you over.

Palma did reveal in court we were profiled because of our web page...couldn't be anyone else speeding up there...just us..lol. Just know they are stationing motorcycle cops on the mountain now...ride the speed limit and be safe...most officers will allow 10 over but I am sure Palma is not one of those "polite" officers...you will get a ticket for 1mph over probably....

Both and he will try to nail you for anything he can. Plus he may try to make up some things.

Graffiti--yes, 10 speeding tickets were issued last year in a group of 20 of us...this past week we went up one rider was given a ticket for an "unreadable" license plate from 50ft....i somewhat understood Palma's perspective, however, it was clear the plate was dirty and COULD be seen just fine...Palma was just pissed he didn't hand out any speeding tickets in my opinion so he made sure he ticketed one of us for something....

So we are out. We will keep the ride open for those that may want to take a ride up the Mt. in the morning.

Ryan - The mountain is a great place for a beginner. Most of the turns are wide sweepers and with the speed limit set at 35 not much can happen :)

Hope your friend is okay...Schwartz is the one that wrote me and another chick up and we won in court. So, if your friend can afford it, lawyer up. Depending on circumstances, he can fight. Our lawyer did great in court, PM me if you want name and #.
